Bio

I am an incoming 4th year mechanical engineering student at Ohio State University.

I am a first generation Cameroonian American from P.G County, Maryland. While acquiring a Bachelor of Science focused in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, I am seeking an opportunity to use technical knowledge and skills obtained in mechanical engineering coursework to explore various design applications of engineering to the medical, manufacturing, and product design industry. With a passion for entrepreneurship and diversity in engineering, my interests include in topics such as creative technology, biotechnology, and biomechanics (as well as human machine interaction), robotics, wearable technology, prosthetics, and medical devices overall!

I am a Morrill Scholars full tuition scholarship recipient, and a two time Honda Dreams Scholars Recipient. Some of my other interests include Afrobeats, Caribbean, and Hip Hop dance, as well as travel and social justice. I strive to empower and inspire fellow minorities to pursue engineering, particularly to improve underrepresented living conditions.

Work Experience

Center of Design and Manufacturing Excellence | Student Research and Design Assistant

August 2022 -Present

● Collaborate with engineers to create and modify component designs using CAD software

● Operate manufacturing equipment like manual or CNC milling machines, injection molding, 3D printers, and waterjet

● Conduct tensile, impact, and fatigue testing on materials utilizing ASTM standards for various companies like Honda

● Fabricate and assemble prototype designs including a mirror foot stand for Columbus Zoo birds, and a Covid-19 skin sensor

3 Bar Biologics | Seasonal Manufacturing Member

January - March 2023

● Improved the productivity and sustainability of Ohio agriculture by improving how biologic inputs for agriculture are

manufactured and delivered by producing over 10,000 pallets worth of biological products

● Filled biologic powders into various packaging designs with precision and participated in assembling and labeling operations

Student Experiences in Entrepreneurial Development Program | Indoor Environmental Quality Lab Intern

June - August 2022

● Worked with civil & environmental engineering research mentors to perform laboratory research on the chemical and

microbial processes in our indoor environments that impact human health

● Gained general initial market information to support mold detection technology translation and product development using research on fungi with weekly entrepreneurship skills coaching

● Taught other employees use of laboratory research equipment and biotechnology

OSU Department of Mechanical Engineering | Nanotechnology and Biodesign Lab Student Research Assistant

May - July 2021

● Established design principles for materials where mechanical properties and interactions of nanoscale components

coordinate to enable mesoscale material function

● Designed nanotechnology that transmit signals throughout materials for long range communication of detection and response to external stimuli by assisting in the DNA Origami fabrication process

Customer Design

As a student assistant at the Center of Design and Manufacturing Excellence, I am often tasked with taking customer design requests and transforming these into 3D models. I create presentations with various design iterations, as well as all project information. These designs are then transformed into custom parts.

Pictured is an example of a design requested by and presented to a customer for a uniquely designed spherical handle.

Research Design

From researching a medical devices such as novel mold detection device, to designing small materials like DNA nanotechnology and prototyping/creating 3D printed designs, I have experience working with professional researchers to mechanically design parts and products.
